Day 3

Woke up earlier to do my laundry. Watched national geographic while taking my breakfast. Today first day entered classroom. All students were so happy to see me, I got natural attraction, jz like what my pcs lecturer told me before XD. Today lunch meal was spaghetti, the school meal would varied from day to day.

Wao, there was drum performance in my school today. The students were going to represent my school competing in a drum performance competition. Had my dental check up, each of my tooth conditions were recorded! The dentist was speaking Cantonese with me. Thus, others were praising me for knowing so many languages and of course, dialects :).

Went to have dinner with my friend. Yeah my new friend took me using motorbike! Finally uploaded some photos on facebook.

Today was Happy Teachers' Day in Taiwan, which was Kong Zi's bday. Here teachers do not celebrate teachers' day. Moreover, they do not received gifts from students too. It was just a normal day. Just found out that on Wednesday for students who are studying in std 1 till 3, their lessons will finish by 12.40pm.

DAY 2

Day 2 at my work. Today met all the teachers in my school during meeting. Starting to mix with those kids, taking class photos for them. Even the kids said I look too young at my age lol.

Started to prepare my cultural presentations at my office. Meanwhile, I had discussed with my principal about translating their school mandarin website into English website. So far no problem with that.

In the evening, my principal and other colleagues went to a western food shop that offers buffet meal as well. Guess what? Western food + buffet were only Rm30+!!!! I could not finish the meal as the portion of the meal was too big for me. Food here were prepared according to the size of the food in advertisement, unlike our place.

Actually the purpose of having dinner is to welcome me as well as have a farewell with another guy, call lim ji yu. He was freaking tall, 188cm. I just knew that in taiwan if u are too fat, too thin or having bad vision ( short-sighted, etc), U cant join national service. In fact, u will be working as a volunteer to replace ur national service, doing community work in school, old folks home, etc. He was a nice guy, he gonna took me to explore taiwan :)

Another day was almost over. Get back to my dorm and met my new housemate, she is from Taipei, that was a good news for me. I can follow her to Taipei!

First Day In School

Woke up at 6.15am. I thought I was late to sch because the sky was already very bright, it was like 8am sky in Malaysia. Took my breakfast and bath.

Madam Teng, introduced me in front of the students. There are only 140+ students in this school. The students here would salute to their country flag. The students were so curious of me as some of them did not know where Malaysia is, so sad. Since it was the first day I just hung out in the staffroom ice breaking with the teachers. There were easy going and I met an Indon teacher. She spoke malay with me, felt a bit werid speaking malay in Taiwan haha.

Let me introduce their education system. For every 40 minutes lesson, they will have 10 minutes break. During lunch hour, they will break for 1 hour to allow students taking nap and having lunch. To my surprise, teachers would take nap too. The students' weight would be recorded and regulated by a nurse in the school. All students were required to have balanced diet. In addition, the nurse would inculcate healthy lifestyle concept through case studies. I found out that the students here are more proactive, many students will raise their hands to answer questions voiced out by teachers. However, there is a flaw in their education system, that is their sports lesson. Students would even have their sports lesson in the mid afternoon, like 1pm! The time for sports lesson are not fixed.

Students and teachers would take their lunch at sch. Unlike our country, they do not have canteen. Every school will order lunch for students and teachers. It is a balance diet, there are vege, meat, soup and fruits. Student eating lifestyle is regulated, in order to reduce health problems among Taiwanese. What a brilliant idea!

Went to 7 eleven to register a sim card. Taiwan 7 eleven is really convenient, there were laundry services, sim card registration as well as a dining corner for you to have your meal. They even supplied dinner package to our school. The sch provided me with this package. The dinner was nutritionally balanced too. I was eager to have more chicken meats, they were so tasy and yummy^^.

Nevertheless, I had to get used to separate rubbish before throwing them into the dustbin. I gave my chicken bone to the watch dog which accompanied the school guard. At first, it barked at me because I was a newcomer to this school. Soon, the dog started to accept my existence. Moreover, security of the students and teachers were well taken care of.

Touch Down in Taiwan

Thanks to my friend Yeo, I reached LCCT terminal around 7.45am. This was the first time I had been to the airport. Finally I arrived safely in taiwan around 3pm. It was cloudy and windy.

My taiwan AIESEC buddy, Payton came to pick me up. I was amazed with the efficieny of the transport system in Taiwan. Everything is so systematic. I needed to carry my big luggage along the way at MRT station to the bus stop. Soon, I met my school principal, Madam chu at Fu Jen University. Took a picture at there, it was like a welcoming ceremony lol.


Madam Choo was very friendly, she greeted me and guess what? She had been to Penang before! I was surprised to hear that her kid was so independent, could travel here n there himself. This may partly due to the good security in Taiwan. I only realised that mitsubishi, toyota and nissan were considered as taiwan national cars as these japanese cars companies collaborated with taiwan companies, to manufacture their cars. Madam Choo took me to "pan qiao" MRT station to have dinner, met her kid. Her kid was shy but from his look, I could see that he had mature thinking, was independent as well as smart. The thai restaurant service was excellent, waiters and waitresses kept smiling at us. Of course, I like their smiles.

Waste separation in Taiwan is done in an environmental friendly way. Taiwanese really separate their waste according to different type of thrash. Besides, they wil take away their food if they can't finish it. Morever, you should not throw tissue or toilet paper into the toilet bowl!

After having dinner, Madam Chu took me to shop. Brought all daily needs then we headed to my school hostel. The school hostel was more comfortable than utp hostel. There were water heater, big flat screen LCD TV, rice cooker, washing machine, etc. Met my housemate, her surname was Fang. Started to online as I had unpacked all my stuffs and took my bath. The internet speed was fast. At last, I called it a day to take my rest. What a day!

Hibernate Blog

Wao, it has been 5 months since I last blogged. Since now we have facebook, we can daily update our status without blogging. Strange, I just have the urge to write this time haha.

Well, this is the last night I am in penang. Going back to my uni again...unfinished assignments, tests, projects, etc. There are only 7 weeks to go b4 I will be sitting for my final exams, hope everything will be smooth. Yet, I am lost in most of the subjects. So, I really need to put more efforts in order to score in every tests.

This mid sem break only din go out one night. Just swam wiv yun chong jz now. Then daryl, yc and I went to watch "Devil" ( GOOD MORAL LESSONS^^). Ah wong wants to learn how to swim freestyle but I am going back tmr. Another semester is going to end.

SO hope all my friends are in good condition and good luck in everything.

2 months to go......

Well, there are 2 more months to go before I can have my semester break. Going back to my uni again on this sunday.

Time flies, these fews days just went out wiv friends. Tons of assignments have not completed yet. Y we would make our life so difficult? At MPH, I read a book which was quite interesting. The title is " How to simplify ur life". Now only I realise that Nam Weng and I shared a lot of interests and hobbies. Sometimes, we only get closer to a person after we graduated from secondary sch.

For the coming few weeks, I hope I can cope with all my academic works. I need to be more hardworking and have better time management. Get dean's list again and enjoy my sem break haha.

ARRRRRR!!!!!!

Just finished my test 1 for Reservoir Rock and Fluid Properties......I think most of the students will get full marks la. Sien a, apply wrong formula causes the whole graph to be wrong. Felt so angry of myself, damn noob lol. Luckily is not stpm, one graph wrong means ur A is gone. This is only test1, I wasted chance to score more marks. Next time really must be more careful about the concept, haiz......Easy test but I cnt score, so frustrated >.<

Well, next week I gonna hand in 5 reports, do moral presentation ( go front kap siao a while as usual), 1 assignment, 2 tests and 1 lab test. After that I will have mid sem break from 13th till 21th of march. Sad case again as I cnt attend my grandmother bday, so many things to be missed, feel so down...down....down...

Besides, I would like to congraz for my fren who did well in stpm, for those who did not make it, cheer up la. Remember to apply for any scholarships u noe. I will tell u all when my uni application is opened. For friends who are waiting for SPM results to be released, good luck!

A Very Special CNY^^

This CNY is the first time I did not go back to my hometown after 19 years of CNY celebration. This was bcoz I thought I would be going back on Tuesday. Therefore, I plan to celebrate my first CNY in Penang though I am a Penang kia. Besides, this is also the first time my bro did not celebrate CNY wiv us. Well, gamble for so many days and had a lot of funs spending time wiv friends and family.

Yesterday played bbal wiv Peng, Yuan Li, Daryl, Yinze and Wong. So long din play bbal at my secondary sch~~CLHS. After that, I took dinner wiv my cousin along wiv my mum. I will miss Penang food for 1 month before I come back during mid sem break on 13th of March. Played dota till midnight wiv peng n daryl.

This afternoon will go back to my uni......lots of assignments, reports as well as presentation need to be done, hectic days gonna begin again and again zzz. Wat to do, this is the life of a student. Wait going to swim for the last time wiv theng soon before going back to my uni.

Life in utp

Well, I came back to utp again. I have no lectures on friday for this semester. This is good^^. However, this sem will attend a lot of lab sessions and lectures. Daryl and gabzy syok la coz final exam gonna end. This weekend maybe going to ipoh wiv frens. Today lecture at 1pm, so just free to post something on my blog haha......

Another new semester to GO!!!!

Next monday I will begin my new semester as a first year second sem student. Finished packing everything d. Timmy has already gone back, so I dun need to worry about my room registration. After this sem I will be moving new hostel^^.

I swam alone this afternoon......No one was swimming. The moment I was swimming, suddenly I recalled back my secondary sch tragedy. Thus, for people out there, you all should learn to swim, who knows u may need it when time comes. Apart from that, saw a sui yu when I went to my house car park, she is leaving on (daryl's favourite number haha) floor!!!

Yesterday went to play dota, fifa n lfd2 wiv zez liang. When we took lunch at mcd, there was a thieve trying to steal a woman's handbag. Fortunately that woman felt something was pulling her handbag so she shouted very loudly till the guy flee away. Went to pasar malam to eat mee curry, so delicious HO Chiak!!! It was my last pasar malam in penang haizzz, must wait till next sem break d.

New semester hope will do well in everything la, but first go back sure "sell fruit" since CNY is coming haha. UTP, I am coming back!!!

TRAGEDY.....

Well, this morning when I was going to play wiv soony, noi noi and daryl, noi noi said 5 chung ling students went missing during dragon boat training. First we thought it was a rumour but it turned out to be a true tragedy. Ntv7 reported about the news, till now 4 students went missing. Now just hope they will be safe...... So who is responsible for this accident? No matter who is to be blamed, life which is lost cant be regained again. Thus, safety is very important at anytime and anywhere.

Just now afternoon played ucpro wiv wong, peng, yinze and daryl. Wong and yinze dc, so just left me, peng n daryl. First thought we would lose coz kept dying. At last we won it with style. Dota seems to be a knowledge, really requires mental skills when drafting heroes in cm mode.

Fortunately, my senior promised to take me back to penang during CNY and fetch me to utp also. Just got my results on friday at 12.48am. It was good news for me as I got dean list results. My dancing got A, thanks to my leader who was so creative at doing all the dancing movements. So for this coming new sem, hope I will have a more enjoyable sem. Going back on this coming sunday, time to start a new journey after having such long breaks!!

REINCARNATION^^

It has been half a year since I posted something on my blog. My blog is reincarnated......

These few days after bro went to america for student exchange, I am so free at home. I did all the house chores such as doing the laundry, drying the clothes, cooking rice and washing all the plates n wiping all tables. Never mind though I still left about one week to go before going back to my uni.

Well, tomorrow I will be receiving my results as a degree student. Hope can get dean's list lol. Just now went swimming wiv dennis. His part time job is so nice. He is working wiv former Miss Malaysia, huhu!!!

Now going to play ucpro wiv yinze, wong, and daryl. Good luck to daryl as he is going to start his final tomorrow. First year second sem is coming, so I hope I will join events that are beneficial to me n learn new things. For my dota team, lets push ourselves into first or second place.

CNY still not sure how long can I come back, I wish it is one week. Just finished playing wiv yinze n wong haha. Nice game.......

A New Sem as A Degree Student

Well, yesterday I had just started my new semester. It will be my first year first semester for my PE degree. Haiz no new student intake for my course, maybe due to the number of students in my course is big.

My new hostel room is smaller compare to previous hostel. Toilet sux, 2 shower rooms. If everyone has lecture at 8am, then mz wk up early to conquer the toilet. However, now I connect to the internet thourgh lan connection. The speed is quite fast. Haha my friends and I played cs together. Not yet try plying dota.

Yesterday played futsal till very tired. 25 ppl came to play, it was a record. This sem I have a tutorial class at 4-5pm on Friday, which makes me hard to go home haiz. I joined basic dance and movement club for this sem cocurriculum. This sem there will be cocu activity going on every week, boring......

I am in the library writing this blog. The speed has improved after upgraded. Last sem I only came to my uni library no more than 3 times, total less than 1 hour. This sem not bad I come here on the second day of the new sem. Hehe.

A rotten Blog

It has been a long time since I updated my blog. This sem break as a petronas scholar I had to attend a programme call "Soaring The Eagle", mostly about character buildings. The location is at Agrotek Resort, Ulu Langat, Selangor. Firstly, we needed to report ourselves at KLCC. It was like NS lo the bus took us to the resort. It was also the first time that I sat in a train, the feeling was like in the bus lol.

I felt very nice le the programme. Everyday I could eat 6 meals. OK la jz update some pics of the programme. After that I stayed in KL for another 2 days 1 night. My friends and I live in Bintang Warisan Hotel. Then our room became casino haha. I went to Lawyat Plaza, TImes Square. It was also the first time I played bowling in Times Square and STRIKE. Relaxxxxx~~Football Rooxzz

Huhu today finally I had done with all the tests for my coursework marks. Chem n engineering maths sux lol. Really mz pia for final exam, scared kena retake again. 

I watched chelsea vs barca eventhough today I have a test. What a dramatic match, barca scored in the 93th minute!!! Chelsea really is very unlucky.

After test, I played futsal with my friends. It will be my most memorable futsal match. My team was losing 0-6, then I and my teamate suddenly all reached top form, we won the match with 13-6!!! I scored hat trick and assisted 5 times......

Jz now get to chat with my bro, so long din see his face d. OK la thats all for today.

Going Back to Prepare for Finals

Tom I am going back to my uni again. It is time to prepare for my coming final exam which falls on next month. I am glad to some of my friends finally cn rest and relax after their final exams. For those who will be taking exams in the coming days, good luck and all the best!!!

I feel I am like a tourist in penang d haizzz.....It is hard to stay at this island all the time. After final exam maybe my uni friends will organise trips again like last sem. Hope that we can hav fun!

I wonder how many marks will I get for chem test 2??? Hmmm......really dunno how to do at all. This year will I get to be among the dean's list students??? I will do my best and achieve this target against all odds. Really wish I cn did it again like last sem. At least I had some achievement in my foundation studies. Coz when I enter degree, it will be harder to secure a dean's list results.

BACK TO PENANG

Huhu jz came back to penang today. Finally I cn update my blog without worrying it will dc while uploading pics and videos. Actually planned to come back on thursday wiv my cousin coz she was having interview for the new intake students for this year. This batch interview had very few gals nia haizzz. This month is also the first time I kena "lottery" for parking bicycle illegally.

OK There had been a lot of acitvity happened in this month. There was euphonious night, where there was fusion through musics. The feeling was like being in a musics concert. There were 5 finalists bands. The champion was "Crash and Burn". The band created new style of plying mama mia song wiv violin plus rock style performance. Oh ya our uni invited local popular rock band~~~Bunkface. The vocalist had a good looking. They are the band who sang "Situasi". Took some pics too.

Last week there was sports carnvial in my uni. There were sports like archery and kayak. Last week I also had my drama presentation, writing test, listening test and literature analysis. wat a hectic week!!! This jz took my chem test 2, really dunno how to do. First time feeling so down after doing a test, shit!!!

April Fool that day I attended foundation dean's list ceremony, huhu I was lucky to get to go up to the stage and shaked hands with rector and our head our department. It had been a long time that I had not gone up to the stage to receive certs or awards.

Yoyo today 2 F1 Drivers came to my uni. They are robert kubica and nick heidfeld. there were also exhibition of the F1 cars and big sales of t-shirts and caps for BMW sauber. Huhu first time get to see the drivers in a close distance. one of my friends managed to touch his hands haha. 

Oh ya the also perform their F1 skills. The F1 cars are damn noisy and fast, cool yeah!!

Mid Sem Break

Yeah!!! Is another mid sem break for me. I must tk this one week holiday to hav a good rest and chat wiv my old friends.

Today went to watch "Race to the Witch Mountain", I think the movie is quite nice especially for kids haha. I went to qb wiv Wei Wen, Danny and Jun Xian. So long din go out wiv them d. We chat a lot of things.

Time flies, I will be entering degree study for the next sem. I must be more hardworking and try to strieve to perfection. I must keep going and continue my long journey.
